ABOUT US
Se.Ti. oil produces oils and butters from several Mediterranean seeds and dried fruits and, through a virtuous and circular manufacturing process, reworks the by-products so to obtain natural and highly-proteinic flours. Cold extraction and processing gives rise to not chemically-processed products with a natural balance of active substances inside. Both oils and flours are commercialized with the brand "Sentore". Moreover, from Se.Ti. oil's expertise, the natural cosmetic line "M'Assaggi" was recently born. Long term mission of this ambitious project is to select the best protected and certified botanical excellences of Italy, like Modica's chocolate, Bronte's pistacchio, Noto's almond, Piedmont's hazelnut etc, and create innovative and healthy cosmetics starting from their extracts.









R&D AND MANUFACTURING
The main activity of Se.ti. oil's Lab. consists in the extraction of oils and butters from seeds and dried fruits followed by reworking of their by-products so to obtain raw ingredients like flours. Flow chart of the technical process includes: i) drying of the raw material; ii) cold extraction; iii) filtration and iv) bottling/bagging of the products. As to regard cold extraction, this is carried out by hydraulic presses and a proprietary methodology involving, in place of hot or chemical substances, incremental cycles of pressure to extract oils and butters from starting materials. Naturally, this step is crucial to preserve all the native compounds inside the finished products.  









"SENTORE" OILS, BUTTERS AND FLOURS
In general terms, dried fruits have an high content of unsaturated fats which, naturally, lower the level of the so-called "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and increase the level of the "good cholesterol" (HDL). These fats also lower triglycerides, thus helping to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, constant consumption of dried fruit and oily seeds guarantees a correct intake of vitamins and minerals, able of influencing brain activity, improving intellectual and attentional capabilities and promoting the absorption of calcium with positive effects on prevention of the osteoporosis. Sourced from biologic agriculture and manufactured by, just, cold pressing extraction, "Sentore" line composes of totally chemical-free products with inside a natural, unchanged balance of healthy components. Se.Ti. oil's products find relevant applications in the food, cosmetic, perfumery and nutraceutical fields.

Maximal production capacity of the company is of 300L/month for oils and 400kg/month for flours. Oils are marketed in 50ml up to 5L bottles while flours are sold in 50gr up to 2kg sachets.



"M'ASSAGGI" COSMETICS
M'Assaggi project, and its imaginary journey through the "Made in Italy", starts from the South-East of Sicily with
the birth of three cosmetic references containing the famous IGP Modica's chocolate i.e. body cream, face mask and face cream. Modica's chocolate stands out for the peculiar and unique way in which it is produced, i.e. thanks to the ancient Aztec cold-processing recipe that keeps unchanged all the volatile, aromatic and beneficial substances of the cocoa beans. Within M'Assaggi cosmetics, therefore, Modica's chocolate and Se.Ti. oil's butter from its cocoa beans fully express their healthy potential on the skin and body. In particular, cocoa polyphenols reactivate the regeneration, protection and hydration processes of the skin, gifting it with a surprising silkiness and softness. M'Assaggi cosmetics are also enriched with precious active ingredients including hyaluronic acid, vitamins E, shea butter and plant stem cells which give to the products a soft, buttery and ultra-rich texture that pampers and donates well-being to the skin. The natural scent of cocoa of these cosmetics immediately brings back to the flavors of the ancient artisan chocolate shops of the County of Modica where perfumes sublimate in the memory a magical, enveloping and evocative atmosphere.

 Production capacity of the company goes from 5000 to 50000 units/month for each of the cosmetic references.
